Make America Arrest The Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor! On March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor, an award winning EMT, was murdered by Louisville Kentucky police officers. The LMPD were searching for two men, the main suspect was already in police custody, and the targeted home was actually 10 miles away from Breonna’s. Louisville police officers, went forward with executing a no-knock warrant at Breonna Taylor’s apartment as they had seen the car of one of the associates outside her complex and believed that drugs were being sold out of there, on that observation.

A no-knock warrant allowed the police to enter without warning or without identifying themselves as law enforcement. They used a battering ram to crash into the apartment of Breonna Taylor, firing blindly after her boyfriend met them (with his legally registered firearm) to defend themselves against what they saw as armed burglars. Breonna Taylor was struck at least eight times and killed. No drugs were found.

For weeks after Taylor’s death, there was very little public reaction or response from government officials. The LMPD has not provided many details about the shooting or answers to questions about the case. Taylor’s death only gained national attention when activist Shaun King posted about her shooting death on social media nearly two months later.

In a video footage from one of the protests for George Floyd, women can be heard chanting “he could have been my brother”, and he could have. And Breonna Taylor could have been me. Keep saying her name to bring more equity over to the fight for justice for all the black women and men silenced in cold blood.

Breonna’s Life Mattered. All of their lives mattered.
